The thought of building a great indoor water park at the Best Western Port O'
Call Hotel started when Robert (Bob) Henderson and his family chose to be the owners of this premier North East landmark in 1998.
The Waves Water Park is something of an engineering marvel, considering the fact that it sits atop the existing 220 vehicle
capacity underground parkade. It
has been designed to optimally
distribute the weight of the
8000 sq ft structure, allowing
for exceptional stability
despite the shallow foundation.
The highlight of our great indoor water park is the two large slides. A pumpkin orange enclosed flume and an
aqua blue open slide twist and turn their way down to the plunge pool over a vertical drop of 24 feet.
Riders waiting their turn can watch their friends race down on a 42" LCD TV located at the top of the two slides.
The waterslide tower also features a red and green

light system to indicate when it is safe to go.
Younger children will love the wading pool area, with its fun, playful colours, towering palm trees,
lit waterfall, rock features, an oversized mushroom shower, and a small slide.
The Best Western Port O' Call Hotel features a bank of guestrooms on the main floor with direct access to
